Perched on a hillside just three blocks from the entrance of Biltmore Estate, the gay friendly 1891 Cedar Crest Inn bed and breakfast is one of the largest and most opulent residences surviving from the 1800s in Asheville. Downtown Asheville is just a mile away, and the Blue Ridge Parkway is just four miles away.

The impressive exterior Queen Anne architecture is only surpassed by the breathtaking interior woodwork and antique furnishings. Guests are truly given the opportunity to take a glimpse back in time, while still enjoying all the luxuries and modern conveniences of the present.

Enjoy four acres of towering trees, countless shades of green on terraced lawns, and delightful flowering gardens.

  • What an ideal location! Our romantic bed and breakfast is a stone's throw from Biltmore Estate and 1.5 miles south of downtown Asheville. Biltmore tickets are available to purchase at the inn for added convenience.
  • Our Queen Anne Victorian mansion features treasured architectural details and interior woodwork carved by Biltmore's same artisans.
  • Ten gracious rooms in the mansion, each appointed with period antiques with private baths, cable TV, air conditioning, plush robes and amenity basket. Luxurious features in some rooms include Jacuzzi tub, grand claw foot tubs and gas or wood-burning fireplaces.
  • Nightly turndown service affords the luxury of fluffed pillows with irresistible chocolates.
  • A breakfast feast is served daily with seating in the dining room, or on our spacious verandah. A delectable hot entree is served with the season's fresh or hot compotes of fruit, juices and cereals. This elaborate fare is complemented with an array of our own scones, sweet breads and muffins, warm from the Cedar Crest ovens.
  • For those special mornings, we are happy to deliver a continental breakfast bedside.
  • Herbal iced tea and lemonade will refresh you on warm summer days, local apple cider during our magnificent autumn, and hot wassail for winter holidays. Our homemade cookies are a special treat as well!
  • At day's end, we invite you to sip on hot herbal tea, fresh brewed coffee or hot chocolate. Indulge in one of our signature desserts to celebrate a perfect day.
  • Our many awards include Fodor's Best Inns of the South, 10 Most Romantic Inns in America (Association of Historic Inns), 12 Dream Weekends (Atlanta Magazine) and features in National Geographic Traveler and Southern Living magazines.
